You can't blame Lidge for being human. Shit, if you want to blame anyone for losing game after game, how about Qualls. That guy blew more fucking leads this year than anyone on the staff and still managed a 3.23 ERA. Lidge is not at fault here, it's just a long season where things like this will happen. Pujols IS the best hitter in the game today. He is the most disciplined and aware batter I have seen in years. He knew what was coming and made the most of it. Don't blame Lidge.

as i said, i blame lidge. i wish he was doing what he was doing last year. but then....that would mean wishing for last year which i certainly dont want to repeat.
i dont blame pujols cause he is.....magnificient. i hate him today, but the man is a monster and deserves to be the "hero" for his team. in my book, at least.
qualls schmalls. i'm not thinking about him cause there arent high expectations for him. he wasnt the closer. it almost seemed like pujols baited lidge into that pitch- brilliant on pujols part- but a dissapointment with the other. i'm being shitty and bitter, but its just whats running through my head.

everyone can have and has opinions, which are fun to read and discuss. i just dont like when people get pushy with them.

though i will say i think lidge is being overused, and the dude was tiiiiired. BUT it was no excuse to pitch carelessly, even though i know he couldnt wait to celebrate just like all of houston. ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh this is depressing to keep talking about, i cant wait for wednesday.

There is a difference between being careless and not having control. I played baseball for 12 years, and it just happens sometimes. If you want to blame someone, Garner is your target. He didn't have to use him. He knew he was completely overused and spent. Wheeler could have closed the deal. But, in that situation, who would you trust? I think 9 out of 10 Astros fans would say Lidge and hell maybe all 10 of them. You can't be mad at someone for being having a rough night, when they produce the right results 98% of the time. Even if we don't win the series, I will not fault Lidge by any means.

garner isnt doing too good in my book right now as well. but...ok already! i hear ya nigga, but my thoughts today are POSI AS FUCK! i'm thinkin about oswalt bein a badass and pujols getting bird flu and parties out the wazoo.

You shouldnt expect the same dominance from a player for every game, thats just CRAZY. Lidge has been consistant the past two years and will probably improve but there will always be subbar performance games, and it sucks that this was one of them. He's still the best reliever in the NL hands down.

Pujols is amazing and he is why I'm glad theyre playing the Cardinals instead of the Padres, because this man deserves to win it all. Being that it is so early in his career I feel he could wait another couple years because he will eventually be involved with a championship team. The Astros veterans are way more deserving of this then him. We have the best pitching we've had to backup our offensive veterans in the last 20 years.

couldnt agree more about pujols. i really like the guy, i even like the cards as a team and i'm glad that we're in the lcs with a team this "formidable". both deserve good things. of course it will be sweeter if it goes to the astros, but i will definitely root for the cards in the world series if they end up beating us.

whatevs, wednesday is gonna be exxxxciting
